The Paul-Ehrlich-Institut as a federal authority is subject to the regulations of the Bundesdatenschutzgesetz (BDSG, Federal Data Protection Act).

Access data:

Whenever our server is accessed, data are stored for statistical and security purposes. The IP address of your internet service provider including date and time, as well as the web page you have visited are recorded on our server for a limited period of time. These data are used exclusively for improving our internet content and are not processed in such a way that they can be traced back to you. The data are not used in any other way or communicated to third parties.

Our website does not use cookies except where explicitly stated.

Newsletter:

The email addresses, to which the newsletter will be sent, will be stored in a database. They will not be used for any other purpose. Subscribers to the newsletter may end their subscription at any time. Their email addresses will then be automatically deleted from the database.

Contact form / email enquiries:

The Paul-Ehrlich-Institut does not answer any anonymous enquiries. Please indicate your last name and postal and email address in the contact form. These data will be transmitted encrypted.

The data transmitted will be stored in conformity with the legal requirements partly electronically and partly as a hardcopy. The data will be destroyed or deleted when the legal retention period has expired. Your personal data will be treated as confidential. Where required for the answer to your question, the data entered by you will be sent to the competent office within the portfolio of the Bundesministerium für Gesundheit (Federal Ministry of Health) or the competent authority of the appropriate land (federal state). Apart from that, the data will not be communicated to third parties outside the institute, and will not be used for purposes other than those disclosed in the answer to your question.
