Isabelle Bekeredjian-Ding elected chair of the Scientific Committee of the Innovative Medicines Initiative (IMI)
On 9 November 2018, the IMI Scientific Committee elected Professor Isabelle Bekeredjian-Ding, head of Division Microbiology at the Paul-Ehrlich-Institut (PEI) as its chair for a period of two years. The primary purpose of IMI is to provide access to innovative medicines for people in Europe, including the increasing number of elderly people, and to support the development of such medicines.
