PEP-BIOMED is the Postgraduate Training & Education Programme in Biomedical Research, with which the Paul-Ehrlich-Institut (PEI) promotes talented, up-and-coming researchers on an international level.

Subject of the training programme are general research topics, fundamentals of biomedical regulation as well as soft skills. PEP-BIOMED takes into account the doctoral degree regulations of the Johann Wolfgang von Goethe University (Frankfurt/Main) as well as the recommendations of the German Science Council on continuing education programmes. The regular timeframe for an experimental PhD project at the PEI is three years. The preferred language in the training programme is English.
