Paul-Ehrlich-Institut

Vocational Training

Around 10  motivated and talented apprentices complete a vocational training at the Paul-Ehrlich-Institut (PEI) every year. In addition to receiving a high-quality vocational training, they gain exciting insights into the many and varied tasks of a medicines agency that operates at an international level, no matter whether their training is in animal care, in the lab, in IT or in office management. A vocational training course always starts in summer and usually takes three or three and a half years. The remuneration during the vocational training is based on the collective bargaining agreement of the federal government for trainees (Tarifvertrag des öffentlichen Dienstes für Auszubildende [TVAöD]).
