The new Federal Government invites visitors to attend its open house for an opportunity to take a look behind the scenes. The Federal Ministry of Health will open its doors at Mauerstraße 29 in Berlin and offer a diverse programme on current health topics in the areas of prevention, digital health and innovation, and research.
The Paul-Ehrlich-Institut will also be represented on-site with a booth. Visitors will gain insights into the Institute's work and learn more about allergens: What happens if the immune system overreacts and how can we test for and treat allergies? In an interactive experiment – known as a tube test - visitors will learn about a detection method for food allergens using soy as an example.
Professor Stefan Vieths, President of the Paul-Ehrlich-Institut, will give a lecture on "Food allergies" on Saturday at 4 pm and then answer questions from the audience.
